My Life with Horses

~Foreward~

I have always had a great love of, and a ‘need’ for, horses in my life…They are but only one of God’s creatures who have filled my life with His love and presence…I felt the inspiration to tell their stories, to share them with you…to show that a horse is not necessarily just “…a horse is a horse, of course, of course…”

Many of us have been blessed with the love, admiration, and respect of and for the magnificent Equine.  And, is he not truly a blessing, a gift from God?  It is my belief that, indeed, “the Lord works in mysterious ways”, and I believe that in my own life and certainly in those of many others, that He has worked in our lives through his most glorious creation---the Horse…

“…Hast thou given the horse strength?  Hast thou clothed his neck with thunder?  Canst thou make him afraid as a grasshopper?  The glory of his nostrils is terrible.  He paweth in the valley, and rejoiceth in his strength:  he goeth on to meet the armed men.  He mocketh at fear, and is not affrighted; neither turneth he back from the sword.  The quiver rattleth against him, the glittering spear and the shield.  He swalloweth the ground with fierceness and rage:  neither believeth he that it is the sound of the trumpet.  He saith among the trumpets, Ha, ha; and he smelleth the battle afar off, the thunder of the captains, and the shouting…” –Job 39: 19-25

It is my hope that you enjoy these “tales from my heart” of the horses who have brought so very much to my life…to experience the love and soul-touching connection with an Equine is truly a treasure from Above…for if not, then I shall profess as my very dying wish, in agreement with R.B. Cunningham Graham, that, may “God forbid that I should go to any Heaven in which there are no horses”…

May you each and every one be blessed with the presence of horses in your lives…
